Back to School

AO: Black Water

When: 2024-04-01

QIC: Mantooth

PAX (6): Baskins, Mantooth, Mr. Hand, Napalm, Olaf, Schneider

Preamble:

With Spring Break upon us, I wasn’t sure how many PAX would be in town and willing to keep the acceleration going from March. Was thinking of different themes to play off of: Final Four, Easter, April Fools, etc. Decided during the PreRun we’d work off of Spring Break.

Warm-O-Rama:

After meeting at the flag, we moseyed to the amphitheater for some Good Mornings (which got off to a rough start with my mind wondering), Hillbillies, Weed Pickers, and some good ole fashion SSHs (since Napalm enjoys them). Then we moseyed to the bottom of the runway hill.

The Thang:

Heard some mumbles and grumbles when we stopped at the bottom of the runway, but PAX were momentarily happy when I told them we were not ascending the runway. Instead we were lined up for Mantooth’s Merkin Mile. PAX had 2:30 to run from the intersection of the runway to the front entrance of the tower parking lot (.26 miles) and perform 15 Merkins. All PAX were able to complete round one in time, but we started to fall off after that. Once the 2:30 was up, PAX ran back and repeated until a mile was completed. This had the heart rate up and we were feeling good. After Mantooth’s Merkin Mile, we had a 10 count before we moseyed to the parking lot to go back to school, Billy Madison style. With the remaining time, we tried to get through 12 grades, performing 12 reps of an exercise at each grade (building as we go). We were able to get through 9th grade before time ran out and we moseyed back to the flag. The grades were: 1st grade = Flutter Kicks (Alpha) 2nd grade = Squats 3rd grade = LBCs 4th grade = Bulgarian Squats 5th grade = J-Lo’s 6th grade = Merkins 7th grade = Plank Jacks 8th grade = Mountain Climbers (Alpha) 9th grade = Burpees

COT:

Continued prayers for Snowman’s MIL, Schenider’s dad, Mr. Hand’s mom, and all those traveling during Spring Break. Night Shift on June 8th and SMR at the end of the month!

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Always a pleasure leading!
