Half a Moon and Some Cold, Wet Turf

AO: Boneyard

When: 03/25/2022

QIC: FannyPack

PAX (4): Feathers, Mater, Trebek

Preamble:

Small but nimble crew posted and hit the morning hard.  Beautiful skies, 43 degrees.  YHC was drinking on a Mexican beach one week ago today.  Pro tip: beach trips are like long fartsacks & don’t improve fitness.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey around the lot a bit before circling up for SSH’s, Weedpickers, Imp Walkers, and Windmills.  Finished the warm up with a round of 21’s the crew nailed it the first time.

The Thang:

Mosey to the big field for two Vicious Circles around the center logo.  Trebek recommended we modify and circle the “o” in “John’s Creek”, approximately 8″ in diameter.  YHC declined due to social distancing concerns.  VC #1 was bear crawl while last man runs to center for 10 burpees then runs to the font of the line.  VC #2 was crab walk with 30 alpha count Freddy Mercuries.

Then, like bad kids, we went to the corner.  4+1 corners escalator: 10 LBFC’s, 20 Sumo Squats, 30 Merkins, 40 SC Lunges, 50 AC American hammers.  After escalating, de-escalate back around.

We crushed this with time to spare, so we mosey’ed in the dark to the pull up bars for a Morning Call- everyone in high plank, 1st PAX does 5 pull ups & counts aloud while the rest do 5 Merkins.

Made it back to the flag where Feathers led us in ~25 LBC’s in cadence.

COT:

Prayers for a safe trip for Feathers next week as he travels to Ireland to visit family.  YHC was feeling the burn as I build back stamina.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Grateful for the crew & the encouragement of my fellow PAX, always a pleasure to lead.
