The lumberyard loop! Anyone got a headlamp?

Preamble:

Balmy morning at the Norseman!  Quick disclaimer, then questions of “do we need headlamps”?  Where we’re going, we don’t need no stinkin headlamps!

Warm-O-Rama:

Heading towards St. Francis, we warmed up with 15 SSH and 10 Toy Soldiers

The Thang:

This was mainly a run with pain stations throughout.  We headed through the trees to St. Francis, stopped at the base of the hill for Merkins, then went up the hill for 20 squats.  Rolled past the practice fields where the mumblechatter picked up.  It was dark, ok.  But I was expecting more big boy pants on the group.  So we took off in the dark behind YHC until we hit the trees.  In place walking lunges for the 6, then we went through the trees.  Someone produced a light, and I still don’t know who it was, but we all appreciate the move.  We emerge from the trees and Ha-ha predicts, “you’re about to blow some dude’s minds”.  Sure enough, we quickly hear “wait, I know where we are!” and “I didn’t know this came out here”.  Well…you’re welcome.  Let’s mosey.  We went around behind the middle school to Cogburn Road and then over to Cogburn Road Park.  Multiple stops for irkins, lunges, squats along the way.  We roll out the backside of Cogburn Road Park into the Lowe’s lumberyard.  Did 20 squats outside the lumberyard entrance and scared an employee that was early to work.  (Lowes…let’s work on our smiling and saying hello…yes it’s 5:50 but a smile doesn’t hurt!).  Moseyed over to Windward, then back down towards St. Francis.  Stops along the way for more squats and lunges.

Quick tip…if you run through St. Francis in the dark, there are speed bumps, so please be aware of their presence.  Trust me.

Rolled back to the flag, then a little popcorn mosey.  Many thanks to a few of the newer PAX for jumping in to lead an exercise during Mary.  LBC, Freddy Mercury, Box cutters and T-bombs finished us out.

COT:

Always a pleasure to lead.  Prayers for our country, our PAX, and our families.
