Full Moon, Good Friday Pain

AO: Boneyard

When: 04/15/2022

QIC: Meatball

PAX (9): FannyPack, Feathers, Mater, Meatball, Scar, Scrooge, Spandex, Trebek, zima

Preamble:

@Feathers asked for a Q and YHC felt like it was my time to step up at The Boneyard, it’s been a minute since I’ve posted here. Really is a great spot for a Beatdown. Thursday was such a nice day I actually brought my 2.0 out with his skateboard for a little Recon mission to plan for the BD on Friday. Killed 2 birds with one stone, getting to spend some time with a 16-year-old gamer son can have its challenges! YHC actually did 2 loops around the park planning out the pain stations and actually getting in a great workout. However, the lack of exercise over spring break, coupled with the medicine I had been taking for a sore back created an interesting Heartbeat Dilemma. The plan was in place for the next morning.

Warm-O-Rama:

SSH

Windmills

Hillbllies

Good Mornings w/ Moaning and Laughter at the #respects

Weed Pickers

Squats

The Thang:

Mosey around the outside loop with 4 different pain stations. The loop is about 3/4 of a mile. 1st station is Pull-Ups.

Partner Up – 1st partner does 10 pull-ups and 2 partner does BBSU.   Switch –      4 Rounds – We tried hard to make it to 10 – Great Effort by All! 🙂

Continue on with our journey around Newton Park – Next Station was DIPS

5 Dips per partner x 4 rounds, other partner does Squats while waiting to jump on the Parallel bars. The PAX were a little hesitant to get in the middle of the dip bars.

Continue on our path of pain and we came upon some nice low bars for Urkins or Derkins – Can never remember which ones are which. 20 Urkins per PAX x 4 rounds while the other partner is doing 10 Alpha count Lunges. 80 Urkins Done!

Last Station we happened to come up upon some benches and nice ledge around the lake. Maybe the PAX thought we would go for a swim but I wouldn’t be that mean! 10 Step-ups per PAX while the other partner was doing LBC x 4 rounds.

We made a complete circle and ended up back at the flag, headed over to the field for a Special Thunderstruck ACDC Plank – Merkin Extravaganza! Lots of moaning and the chest was definitely feeling it.

Last we almost made it through a round of 11’s with BBSU and Squats to finish off the legs and get those Abs showing for the Summer!

5 minutes of Mary and mission complete!

COT:

Good Friday, the sacrifice and cost Jesus paid on the cross don’t compare to what the PAX went through this morning but it’s a little reminder that the sacrifice now will lead to greater gain in the future. Continued Prayers for Ready-mix’s family – Mary Lynn, Perry, Louise, and Merideth. That the PAX and others would continue to come alongside serving their needs. Prayers for Steve who was moved as many of us were on Monday to maybe come out to F3 for the 1st or 2nd time and make a regular committment.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Been a very emotional week with the passing of Ready-Mix – He was a close friend and brother to many of us. He was my neighbor and I played tennis with him almost weekly. He never meet a person he didn’t like. The sting is still there and he is greatly missed but we know he’s in a better place and his spirit should live in all of us to keep moving forward, striving to be a better HIM always. I know he heard those words we want to hear when we leave this earth. “Well Done my good and Faithful Servant” RIP my brother! Help us to be as intentional about our relationships, family-, and being a better man as the example we had with Ready-Mix.
