Preamble:

YHC told himself in October I’d Q once a month at my two closest AOs (Rubicon and Windjammer), so I randomly grabbed an open slot and thought nothing of it. On Wednesday it became obvious that this was no ordinary beatdown: Windjammer was nearing 1,000 postings for 2022, The Hooch and Boneyard were bring coffee and donuts for a Santa Ruck bet, and school was out so the 2.0s were coming. With a little guidance from Cookie, False Start, Dipstick, and Lumbergh, I threw together a list of 2.0 preferred exercises and found a theme: We’re going on a Safari.

The pre-ruckers and pre-runners rolled in while Cookie organized the parking. As the large group assembled, YHC called the start and lead off with the Country Club Noise Ordinance warning followed by the standard introduction and disclaimer. With the chit-chat out of the way, we moseyed to the dam to begin.

Warm-O-Rama:

Safaris are for tourists, so we warmed up with our favorite types of tourists:
Cowboy Hops (SSH)
Mountain Man Poopers
Hillbillies
Toy Soldiers
Moroccan Night Clubbers
Michael Phelps

With everyone loose and ready, we moseyed back to the lake club to begin our safari.

The Thang:

Our first exhibit was the Forest Biome, so we did a Dora in the Flora:
100 Flying Squirrels (Burpees that go straight down into the high plank/merkin)
200 Copperhead Squats
300 Monkey Humpers
Partners ran the short upper loop of the tennis court lot. Those who finished early performed LBCs and Dollies before moving on to the next exhibit.

Our safari moved from the forest to the swamp, but terrain was treacherous so we needed to build a bridge for the 2.0s:
The HIM of Alpha assembled in alternating high plank positions to build the bridge while…
Willing 2.0s crossed carefully across the HIMs backs in a bear crawl.
The group safely reached the starting line for the Swamp Races exhibit and assembled into groups of around 6 pax. Each group then competed in short races across 2 parking spaces (lengthwise) first performing Alligator Merkins and then playing Leapfrog.

As time was running short on our Safari, we hustled off to the dam to our last exhibit: the Arctic AB-solute Zero Biome. Our mosey back to the flagpole at the dam spaced out the pax a bit, but the leaders launched right into Penguin Tappers while the six caught up. Pax viewed three arctic animals before time was called:
Penguin Tappers
Starfish Crunches
Crab Cakes

And that was the end of our tour. We hoped to be greeted with a sunrise, but unfortunately the clouds held the sun at bay, so we moseyed back to the flag for Name-o-Rama and CoT.

COT:

53 Pax atteneded today’s BD and helped Windjammer exceed 1,000 postings, everyone welcomed and named FNG Kix to the group, Hooch and Boneyard brought coffee and donuts for all after a narrow Windjammer vicotry in the Santa Ruck collection, and we all gathered together for a quick picture after setting a Windjammer attendance record.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Praise for all Pax who attened to help Windjammer reach their goal for the year.
Prayers for Zohan’s sister who’s stuck in Miami while travelling.

Thank you all for the support and positive feedback today. I was nervous heading in to today, but everyone’s support made it easier. As always, it was an honor to lead.
