Cinder Cricket

AO: Rubicon

When: 12/20/2022

QIC: Irene

PAX (11): Cookie, FannyPack, Focker, Lefty, Lil Hurt, lumbergh, No-See-Um, Red Ryder, Special K, Wilson

Preamble:

When I planned my original Cricket Q, I wrote this one out at the same time; so, with no new themed beatdowns ready to go, YHC broke out the remixed Cricket BD. Cinders were requested, but coupons were suitable substitutes. Pre-running was an option as well.

Warm-O-Rama:

Two pre-runners returned to find the Pax in search of cinders. YHC said there was nothing cinder specific, so a coupon would be acceptable and that could be grabbed after the warm-up. An introduction followed that included a brief disclaimer and notice to modify as necessary. With the legalize covered, we moseyed to the pool parking lot for a warm-up.

We started a mosey through the park to check on the Field of Dreams. Two PAX broke off to collect coupons from the pile and rejoin at the flag.

The Thang:

Pax circled up near the flag and did a short rifle carry to the lamp-post by the entrance where they were greeted by the Cricket Scoreboard:

.                 Cinder Cricket                       .
              20
          Squats
             19
      OH Flutter
            18
           Row
            17
      OH Press
            16
Am. Hammers
            15
    Block Webb
            B
         Curls

Pax split into two teams and launched into the beatdown. Team A elected to proceed down the scoreboard, while Team B initially followed this strategy before focusing on individual exercises during their second sets. In a close race, team 1 pulled out a narrow victory.

After Cricket completed, YHC called for a loop through the park to get the blood pumping again. Upon return to the cinders we completed a set of 11s:
Skullcrushers <— Rifle Carry —> Curls

YHC then called for an end of the cinder work and a move to cover from the drizzle that refused to quit. We moseyed to the pavilion for 20 (alpha) step-ups, 10 Burpees, and a round of Mary to finish out the BD:
Dying Cockroach
Supermans
Fire Hydrants
J. Los
Decline Merkins
Kobes
LBCs
Gas Pumpers (with a nod to Haha’s Tesla)

Thanks for coming out today. The rain was annoying but it could have been worse.

It was an honor to lead.
