Return Of The Cox

AO: Widowmaker

When: 07/16/2022

QIC: Cox

PAX (12): Boomer, Dipstick, Funyun, NRA, Skip-pe, Speedo, Tick, TMI, TURK, Zohan, Slash

Preamble:

Been on gloom pause since my M was on the IR. She is making a recovery and I am grateful to be back out celebrating some self-inflicted punishment. I had removed myself from the Q sheet as soon I realized that there was no way I would be able to lead this group of men with my head somewhere else. It was a blessing for sure the able to return with a clear head knowing that my M has made such fantastic progress. My sincere respect to those who post and have the role of caretaker as well. With that it was on to make some fun in the sun! Parked the great purple terd-mobile on the other side of the park after planting the flag in its standard location. 1 car was there when I left at 6:51 and by the time I made it back to the flag we had 11 PAX ready for action. Disagreement on what time is actually 7:00 as there are a full 60 seconds that technically count. I believe waiting the 4 seconds it takes to inhale the required oxygen to then exhale and produce the words “I have 7:00” is a reasonable expectation but, you know, this is F3 and any opportunity to derail a poorly laid plan is fair game…but I’m not bitter 😉 Standard butchering of the required terms for abuse and we were off for a “short” mosey to the bowels of the Widowmaker hill.

Warm-O-Rama:

Legs warm from the mosey we enjoyed some SSH, Very Slow Abe Vigoda Windmills, Toy Soldiers and that was it for the warm up party tricks. Back up the Widowmaker to the parking lot

The Thang:

PAX to the coupon pile and YHC to the aforementioned terd-licious purple people mover to place a manly sized speaker. The Q queued up the dueling banjos in the playlist queue whilst instructions for a useless counting of 1,2 took place instead of pairs. Great question from the Pax “why are we counting?” Pair up dudes for a count up Dora of 50 Burpees, 100 Curls, 150 Mekin and 200 squat.

During our Dora we were joined by the West Forsyth Cross Country running team. (YHC attempted to EH the coaches and found out that they were threatening the team with having to lift rocks if they misbehaved. We do it voluntarily so not sure if I should have been offended. I expect the coaches to join us).

After an unnecessarily confusing dispatch of further instructions to move on to a “change the exercise with the song” we stayed in pairs to further enjoy the pavement and coupons with the following glorious celebration of self-inflicted musical enjoyment:

  • Curls
  • Skull-crusher
  • Shoulder taps
  • Bobby Hurley
  • Dying cockroach
  • LBC
  • Lunges

Playlist timed kinda perfectly and we moseyed back to the flag for a too-close-to-call recovery time – depending on who’s watch you trust. Perfect weather for a return and celebration of 2 years surrounded by a fantastic and uplifting men

COT:

Forgot the order of events due to rust between the ears so thanks for the reminder of the format. Really appreciate the support for my M. Lots of stuff going on and check slack for more info. Looking forward to the upcoming CCUP!

I forgot to give a shout out to the F3 men participating in GTE in Chicago area – good luck gents!

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Always a pleasure to lead. As a recipient of the great strength that F3 provides I can tell you first hand that whether you are in Seattle or any other place in the world and your world turns upside down the PAX are there to support you. Thanks for 2 great years of acceleration and invigoration. It was my honor to lead you today and keep up the good work.
