Choices Choices Choices

AO: Rubicon

When: 01/25/2022

QIC: Zohan

PAX (10): Cart Path, Cookie, FannyPack, Groundhog, lumbergh, Red Ryder, Special K, Splinter, Zohan, Locksmith

Preamble:

Grabbed the Q last night, after noticing the crickets that followed Lefty’s call for a Q. I love the challenge of taking a last moment Q and decided to reuse something I did at the Hooch a few months back. Threw a “Make good choices” as pre-blast.

A good pre-run with Lumbergh, though it took me far too long to warm up.

Warm-O-Rama:

Started with a run in place, along with a discourse that went something like:

F3 is always free. Down (that means Burpee).

F3 is open to all men. Down.

F3 is always outside, rain or shine. Down.

Who can tell me the 4th principle?

Cookie, I believe, said Peer Led. Down.

It’s peer led to it can remain free. No need to pay a trainer. Down.

It’s peer led because F3 is more than a workout. It’s leadership training too. Down.

Who can tell me the Mission of F3? 2-3 seconds of silence, followed by Down.

Question was repeated and Cookie felt the incentive to share the mission. (if you don’t know it, look it up!!!). Down.

(I think I said something else, Down. )

Always ends with a circle of trust. Down.

We moseyed to the nearby parking lot. Groundhog lead us through SSH. YHC lead Imperial Walkers, Moroccan Night Clubs, Good Mornings and Windmills.

The Thang:

Choice #1: Each PAX needs to complete 150 reps in total out of 3 exercises – Shoulder Taps (alpha count), Flatter Kicks (alpha count) and Squats. Any combo works. Finish with a lap in the parking lot, long ends mosey and short ends Sprint.

After the 6 was in YHC said that sometimes out choices come back to haunt us.

Rinse and Repeat, but this time no choice. However many each PAX did of each exercise they need to do again same way.

Finished with a 10 count by many people named Groundhog.

Choice #2: Mosey to the pavilion, where PAX had to complete 150 reps of Derkins, Dips and Box Jumps. When finished run to the concession stand for 10 Donkey Kicks and come back.

When done YHC called to partner up and then explained that sometimes our choices impacts our friends and loved one.

Rinse and Repeat, but this time each PAX does whatever their partner did a moment ago.

Finished with a 10 count by Cart Path, who was able to complete the count in under 3 seconds.

Choice #3: Mosey back to the flag. Keep same partners. 100 Reps out of Burpees, LBCs and Monkey Humpers. This time each PAX tells their partner what to do.

This choice was about Leadership. Did you check with your partner what they can do? did you push them a bit?

Mary started while some PAX were finishing their 100. Included some American Hammers, Dying Cockroach, Dollies and Rosalitas. Not in that order.

COT:

Splinter shared about Mount Kili challenge/3rd F.

Talked about Leadership, Leadership development process and taking up the Q.

Cart Path purchased a new home (which unfortunately for us will take him to Canton and the Cherokee region).

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Always an honor to lead, and lots of fun too!
