Stadium of Pain

Preamble:

Well, no one was willing to take the Q this week so YHC decided to bring the pain. We had a great crowd pre-rucking, with 6 total PAX! I had to move my truck full of coupons just moments before the BD was scheduled to begin, so I made a sprint back to the flag to start on time. Disclaimer was given while I was catching my breath and we were off.

Warm-O-Rama:

We ran to the flag in front of Milton and circled up for the Warm-o-Rama. I made sure it was known this would be a “fun” BD right from the beginning going with Mercans to start the warm up. From there we did the following:

  • Mountain climbers
  • Quad stretch (with the promise of needing those legs stretched)
  • Calf stretch
  • Weed pickers

From here, run to the stadium and stop by the truck to grab a coupon.

The Thang:

Stadium of Pain

7 total rounds were planned, and we got through all 7 with only one minor revision at the end. Rounds were as follows:

Round 1:

  • 2 times running up and down the stadium steps with a normal cadence. Once done complete the following:
    • 25 squats
    • 15 step ups (alpha)
    • 25 dips
    • 25 V ups

Air chair for the 6, and we move on to Round 2.

Round 2:

  • 2 times up and down the stadium steps while skipping a step each time. Once done complete the following:
    • 25 sumo squats
    • 15 Bonnie Blair’s
    • 25 Carolina Dry Docks
    • 25 gas pumpers

Low plank for the 6, and we move on to Round 3.

Round 3:

  • 2 times up and down the stadium steps bunny hopping up each step. Once done complete the following:
    • 25 Monkey humpers
    • 15 staggered squats (Alpha) – use bench as guide
    • 25 derkins
    • 25 leg lifts

Air chair for the 6, and move on to Round 4.

Round 4

  • 2 times carrying cinder overhead up and down stadium steps. Once done move on to the following:
    • 25 curls
    • 25 front press
    • 25 skull crushers
    • 25 big boy sit ups

Low plank for the 6, and move on to Round 5.

Round 5

  • 2 times bear crawling up (which was surprisingly easier than expected) and running down stadium steps. Once done move on to the following:
    • 25 reverse curls
    • 25 wonder bras (push out from chest over head)
    • 15 burpees
    • 25 X Factors

Low plank for the 6 and move on to Round 6

Round 6

  • 2 times up the stadium steps sideways first time leading with right leg and second leading with left leg. Once done move on to the following:
    • 25 bent over rows
    • 25 Diamond Mercans
    • 15 jumps over the block
    • 25 American hammers

Air chair for the 6 and move on to the final round.

Round 7

  • 2 times up touching each foot on each stadium step on the way up and normal down. Once done move on to the following:
    • 15 jump up onto bleacher
    • 25 wide Mercans
    • 25 flutter kicks

 

After finishing round 7 we made our way back to the flag. Upon reaching our destination we had about a minute left so it was Mercans OYO until time was up.

COT:

We had prayers for illness, injury, and safe travels. Also, prayers for those dealing with various situations on holidays where they may not be spending it in the ways normally spent.

Blood drive coming up on the 30th, and MT always looking for more guys to run on Monday afternoons.
