BLIMPS cover version

AO: Boneyard

When: 12/20/2021

QIC: Zohan

PAX (5): Dipstick, Feathers, NRA, Speedo, Zohan

Preamble:

The concept for the beatdown came up during a 2nd F at Feathers house, when I found out I’m not the only Weird Al’s fan. Little did I know that our host does not like him and likely would not have attended this morning had he noted the pre-blast YHC posted in advance. Oh well, the experience may at least make one more emotionally resilient.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to another parking lot for some Mountain Climbers, Hillbillies and Baby Arm Circles.

The Thang:

Moseyed to a different parking lot, where YHC left in advance a board of pain.

We all know BLIMPS (Burpees, Lunges, Imperial Walkers, Merkins, Plank Jacks and Squats). Today, to keep inline with the Weird Al theme of cover versions, the BLIMPS were alterted:

  • 5 Body Builder (Burpee with Plank Jack)
  • 10 Lt. Dan (4:1 ratio of single lunges and squats)
  • 15 Imperial Squat Walkers (knee to opposite elbow, other knee to elbow, squat – that’s one)
  • 20 Mucho Chesto (4 each – regular, wide, diamond, stagger left, stagger right)
  • 25 Peter Parkers, alpha count
  • 30 Monkey HumperS

Do 5 Body builders, run down to the stop sign and back up.

5 Body builders and 10 Lt. Dan, run.

5-10-15 and run and so forth.

YHC called it off when most were done, so that we can do the next part – Lazy Dora.

We moseyed to the pavilion where the building allow us a respite from the wind. Partnered up. Well, one group of 2 and one did a cover version with 3 PAX.

One PAX starts LBCs while the other Balls to the Wall until fail. Switch. Then one PAX holds Low Plank till fail and switch and last hold 6″ above group till fail and switch. If the LBC count hasn’t reached the allotted number (YHC called for 500) then go back to Balls to the Wall.

YHC had to stop well before we reached 500 because of time. We moseyed back to the flag just as my watch showed 6:15am.

COT:

Prayers for save travels.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Good fellowship over coffee. This is what F3 is all about. #MoreThanAWorkout. I’m thankful for all the PAX I got to know, and still getting to know, throughout this region.
