The PAX joined in for a birthday VQ the day before Thanksgiving… Even more special? A 6:30AM start time!
After a quick disclaimer, we mosey over to the Dam and que up Kenny Loggins – Danger Zone.
SSH for the duration of the song. Every “Danger Zone” resulted in a squat.
Finished off with some arm stretches OYO.
Back to the parking lot!
Welcome back to the great era of 1980’s cinema. Things are about to get heavy.
First off, from the Exicon and a tribute to the 1987 film Princess Bride – the Princess Tea Party. Find a partner and do 17 patty-cake merkins. Back to back wall sit for the 6. Rinse and repeat.
Next up, a quasi-reenactment of the final scene in the 1987 film Predator. We’re all Arnold today. With coupon, 10 skull crushers, then run to the lamp post before the explosion! Rinse and repeat 5x.
Now on to Top Gun from the Exicon, with slight modifications. With coupon, do 10 reps of each exercise (overhead press, squats, curls, lunges, and rows) for 5 minutes. Run two laps, then 5 more minutes.
The PAX need some energizing after a long set listening to “Take My Breath Away” (Don’t joke about song suggestions, haha) so, on to a fun one… Planes Trains and Automobiles. Sprint to the light post, arms out. Mosey back with arms up, as if pulling a train’s whistle. Sit for 10 (alpha) modified American Hammers, as though you’re holding a steering wheel.
What’s that on the horizon?! It’s the sun! Coupons go back where you found them. No guessing in the dark today!
Back to the flag for some Mary, but we’re not done with the theme just yet. Que the Ghostbusters theme song for some Gut Busters. Hold plank for the duration of the song (4 minutes). Every “Ghostbusters” is a burpee, every “I a’int afraid of no ghosts” is 2 plank jacks.
With a few minutes to spare, PAX called out exercises including the gas pumper, big boy situps, and the dying cockroach. Recover!
Prayers for Millie’s family as they deal with the loss of a loved one.
Safe travels for the PAX, family members, loved ones.
Prayers for those less fortunate that they can have a nice meal this Thanksgiving with family, loved ones, or a kind neighbor.
