Preamble:

A full body workout on the “Lawn of Yawns” (so named, just now, by YHC) & 60/70’s British rock on the playlist, this was a standard 7 of diamonds with a few combination exercises (see Exicon for detail) to keep it fresh.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey around the amphitheater followed by SSH’s, Windmills, Weedpickers, Hillbillies, Arm Circles and COVIDs.  Mosey to the “Lawn of Yawns”.

The Thang:

First, use cones to create a baseball diamond.  30 paces between cones, a few headlamps to light the cones.  Start at home plate.  Next, a brief demo of unfamiliar exercises & explanation, followed by a single rep in unison for familiarity.

The 7 of Diamonds is a series of different exercises, each count repeated at each base as we round the bases 7 times.  The exercise changes, and the counts change, with each time around.

1st round: Absolutions x 7
2nd round: Captain Thor x 14
3rd round: Imperial Squat Walker (Single-Count) x 21
4th round: Side Straddle Hop x 28
5th round: Merkins (vary hands positions per base) x 21
6th round: Lunges (Single-Count) x 14
7th round: Burpees x 7

YHC gave instruction for the last 4 at a base to proceed in order to keep the group tight.  AKA “The Final Four Catch Up”

Ended with a few rounds of Mary.

COT:

Prayers for sane & safe conference travel for Feathers and Flo; speedy recovery and acceptance of age limitations for all of us; Safe travel for my family this weekend.
