Quote of the morning: “If you feel it in your back, you’re doing it wrong.” We may not have Double-D leading the double entendre as much as we’d like these days, but random PAX have been doing a very fine job of filling his little, tiny shoes as of late. If we’re all being honest with each other, the “men’s recess” aspect of BD’s is an underappreciated motivator. Every AO needs “that guy”.
Slow mosey toward the large parking lot for disclaimers and the following warm-ups:
Q declared during warm-ups that this would be a leg day, so he directed all PAX to line-up along the far end of the parking lot for a round of Lieutenant Dan’s. Format would be a 1:4 ratio of Squats and Lunges, until reaching 10:40.
Once complete with round 10, YHC directed all PAX for a short stop at the nearby concession building for a quick minute of wall sits (while tales were told). After a final 15-count, Q directed PAX towards the stadium for a round of 11’s (2-count Step-Ups, Monkey Humpers), with PAX continuing Step-Ups for the six.
Once complete, YHC led PAX on a short mosey to the playground back to the concession building for another round of wall sits (with more stories being told). Once complete, PAX were led towards the playground and directed to fetch a medium coupon for some more leg work. Instructions were given as follows:
Perform 20 Romanian Deadlifts (w/coupon) at the playground.
Run to the incline walkway, and perform 10 Calf Raises for each step until reaching the top.
Once at the top, perform 10 Groiners before heading back to the playground.
Rinse/repeat until time is called. No time for Mary today.
TAPs for friends-of-PAX Bill & Viktor for courage, strength, and healing as they deal with cancer diagnoses.
