YIC answered the call when another Q had to back out. This time @Feathers had to duck out. I had recently Q’d to just one other PAX so with a like-new, gently-used BD in hand, I figured I could step in. I notified the troops to bring coupons. A few HC’s. A couple had to decommit due to Taco Tuesday and/or @Popper’s intensity the day before at #ao-Meathouse.
I arrived in the gloom to find @BallBoy and @Angus on a pre-run at a leisurely 8:20/mile pace. Other PAX arrived. Disclaimer given.
Nosey around the parking lot with a little sideways shuffles, high knees, and butt kicks mixed in. Circle up near the flag (but away from the discarded Covid mask) for SSHs, Copperhead Squats, Moroccan Night Club, and Imperial Walkers after a 5 Burpee buy in.
Pax engaged in a Crossfit-esque 21-15-9:
Three rounds of Curls, Gobblet Squats, Overhead Presses, Lunges (with coupon in arms), and Merkins. First round was 21 of each movement; second round was 15, and third round was 9. After each round 5 more burpees and then a run to the end of the parking lot and back. Overachiever PAX put in a short round of Mary waiting for YIC, the six.
Short recover walk over to the portico. PAX partnered up. Partner A went BTTW while Partner B pushed out 15 Merkins. Three rounds of each for each partner.
All PAX moseyed to the half wall near the exit hill for 11’s comprised of Dips and Burpees. Still had some overachievers for some more Mary.
Mosey back to the flag for All-PAX Mary comprised of Gas Pumpers, Left-Center-Right-Center (These were miserable, thanks @Animal), and a few other calls.
PAX were reminded of Friday BD options. Blue Ridge Relay annonuced to have a full team thnaks to @Jetson and @Angus (who gets the downhill segment). Sunrise opportunity at Stone Mountain.
Thanks to all who were able to come out to grow together. I am still feeling the pain from the BD on the day after. You men have been great to help me grow physically and other ways.
