8-Bit Classic

Preamble:

13 PAX met in the muggy but cool morning Georgia gloom.  YHC originally planned this beatdown for a birthday Q at the end of June, then postponed it to join Raptor’s sendoff for Hasselhoff.  The only promises ahead of time were 80’s nostalgia and horrible music.  I leave it to you to judge whether these were kept.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the big flag, then 15 SSH, 15 Imperial Walkers, 12 Weed Pickers, 15 Windmills, Forward/Reverse Arm Circles and COVID’s.

The Thang:

Mosey to the rock pile for a small-to-medium Coupon & then to FOD.  Assemble at home plate; YHC posted several copies of the “Sheet of Pain” to the chain link with wooden clothes pins.

The “Sheet of Pain” is a shameless but disposable & compact rip-off of the “Board of Pain”. Exercises listed on the sheet are performed as an Escalator with a lap around the grass line of the infield between.  Use Coupon as often as able.

8-Bit Sheet of Pain

The true challenge was psychological… an entire soundtrack of 8-bit music from the original Nintendo Entertainment System.  So many titles to choose from… Selected game themes centered on combat/sporting titles to keep it upbeat.  Soundcloud playlist link posted below:

With 1 minute on the clock we returned the coupons and mosey’ed back to the flag.

COT:

After a quick count off and name-o-rama, we opened for prayer request and announcements.  Cookie’s last grandparent passed away- Grandmother, 88 years old.  Cartpath requested prayers for his wife’s work as they await updates on a new job, and potentially a move as well.  YHC gave a reminder for Tuesday coffeeteria at Starbucks.
