PAX seemed to really enjoy the “5 Burpees” format a few weeks back, so YHC decided rinse/repeat for a full 45 minutes. Seemed appropriate for a Monday, and I don’t think PAX were underwhelmed by the experience.
Mosey up the main drive toward the CAB with a quick stop for 5 Burpees while Q audited PAX response – zero chatter meant that Q had a bunch of newbies that failed to post for the 4-year anniversary BD, so he wanted to be sure they had an opportunity to enjoy the full experience. Forge ahead with numerous stops for 5 Burpees until we navigated our way to the large parking lot by the turf fields for the following:
To keep things moving, Q led PAX to the wall by the stadium steps for 3 rounds of the following:
10 Box Jumps
Once completed, mosey around the far end perimeter of the field and setup on the LAX field wall for 3 rounds of the following:
10 Mike Tysons
Lunge Walk to the first set of hash-marks
Lunge Walk back to the wall
Next up, crab-walk from the wall to the first set of hash-marks and perform 20 Merkins. Bear-crawl to the the next set of hash-marks for another set of 20 Merkins. Crab-walk to the far sideline for a final set of 20 Merkins. With the six in, mosey toward the entrance of the field, stopping for another set of 5 Burpees before exiting.
A couple more rounds of 5 Burpees at random places as PAX made their way to the playground. Once gathered at the playground (after 5 more Burpees), Q directed all PAX to fetch a lifting coupon for 3 rounds of the following:
5 Thrusters (w/coupon)
15 Curls (w/coupon)
20 Overhead Press (w/coupon)
Once completed, time for a quick round of Jack Webbs w/rotating coupons (ratio of 1 Merkin : 4 Overhead Press, increasing to 10 : 40). PAX reluctantly made it through round 9 before time was called. Quick mosey back to the flag with no time remaining for Mary.
