The Hills had eyes…..and they saw a bunch of sweaty Windjammers taking on the humidity for one of the first times of the season.
-The thing I cant remember where you kick legs to hand
3 Different Hill Sub-BeatDowns
1.)Mt. Merkin (the steep climb on the first part of the Famous Merkin Mile)
-Up and down the hill 5x. Each time at the top a descending count of burpees from 5 down to 1.
2.)Sports Park Peak
-From the Playground to very top of the Sports Park Drive. Also 5x up and down, but this time at the bottom we did sets of pull-ups (the one thing Windjammers hate more than burpees) and dips. Combination totals of the 2 starting at 25 and decreasing in increments of 5.
At one point the words ‘et tu Brute’ were uttered as it was realized the hills kept coming
3.)Last but of course not least….the Windammer. Up frontward twice with merkens and the top and then up backwards twice with merkens. Feet got wet
Group was sweaty but still managed to spring (sort of) back to the flag.
Finished with few quick sets of Mary while avoding incoming traffic.
Praise for the bystander who helped save Cookie from chocking – EVERYONE LEARN THE HEIMLICH!
Great that we are now consistently getting 10 or more to the Winjammer!! Proud to have been a part of this from almost the start!
