PAX: A bunch - it was a blur. For starters: Miller Time, Mad Dog, Grease Monkey, No-See-Um, Swamp Donkey, Tubbs, Manischewitz, Ozzy, Bieber, Tweaker, Meltdown, Scar, Squeegee
YHC wasn’t about to let a Wreck anniversary go down without a proper BD, so a proposal was offered to Q a 30-minute special ahead of the celebratory feast. Limited advance disclaimers were given, other than the fact that we’d be going out HOT.
At 0530, start moseying down the path stopping at every other light-pole for 5 Burpees. Q decided to run backwards to keep track of PAX, which resulted in many PAX unintentionally running backwards as well. Continue down the trail (backwards) passing MANY light-poles (only 5 Burpees each) until we reached the pavilion at the far end of the park.
At the pavilion, Q directed PAX to perform 4 rounds of the following:
20 Decline Merkins (toes on picnic table bench)
Early finishers follow Q for a short (backwards) mosey and more rounds of 5 Burpees. With the six in, continued backward mosey along the trail to the gate leading to the street at the far end of the park (5 more Burpees). Continued backward mosey up the street stopping at random places for 5 Burpees each until we reached the trail leading to the back entrance to the football field. Q led PAX down a dark path (literally & figuratively) toward the stadium seats where he directed all PAX to take position on the wall for 2 rounds of the following:
Once completed continued backward mosey around the exterior perimeter of the football field to the entrance between the 2 turf fields. It was at this point that things began to blur as Q was laser focused on time remaining and ensuring that all PAX were sick of his BS (he lost track of Manischewitz so cannot vouch for any Merlot spilling). To be sure, we did a bunch more rounds of “5 Burpees”, plenty of Bear-Crawls & Crab-Walks, a round of Mike Tysons on the wall, and a bunch of Merkins in between. With T-5 to go, there were a lot of modifications going on.
Final round of Bears/Crabs/Lunges across the field until time was called.
BD PAX joined feast PAX for a hearty breakfast filled with song and good cheer. Thanks for Virginia Slim (and Foley) for cooking.
YHC started F3 with the Wreck, so it’s his 4th anniversary as well. Can’t imagine getting my day started with a better group of HIM’s.
