Life is a journey not a destination. –Ralph Waldo Emerson
It is both with somber gratitude and great appreciation I write this #PreBlast. Our good buddy GRITS is packing up from F3 Alpha and heading back to the #Muthaship region. While it looks like the job is taking him there, we all know who is really making this happen.
What you may not know is how much GRITS has done for our region. He started F3 in our area before F3 was in our area. He has been the catalyst of many #PAX that you have met in the gloom: Def Con 2 (and 1), Tampa transplant No-See-Um, Miller Time, the numerous PAX that have lost their #sad-clowndum through those guys, a handful of others that may come back one day (maybe tomorrow), and probably a few others that I have either failed to list or I didn’t realize that GRITS was their sponsor.
No, this isn’t the final #beatdown for GRITS. He plans to post Saturday and there is no doubt that he will jump into F3 Charlotte when he gets there. But this is the final opportunity for the #GRITS-pavilion with him at the helm. He needs to get that one last “sweat party at the wood shed” that “reminds Grits of The Citadel.”
Boomer and Hickory have come together to layout the beatdown: A #0.0 workout consisting of about 30 minutes of step-ups, LBCs, merkins, people’s chair, ballz to the polez, et al in the GRITS pavilion, followed by 15 minutes or so doing tunnel of Love, mixed in with about 8 ten counts! Expect Crack to bust out his singing skillz during each and every ten count. Unfortunately, Boomer himself cannot be in attendance… prayers for he and his M during this difficult time in their lives.
He doesn’t know it yet, but GRITS himself will be #Q on this farewell tour. Maybe he will change this PB. Don’t wait for the #BB to see; come on out to support your brother on the next leg of life.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” –Jeremiah 29:11
